Upcoming projects
Posted 29 January 2009, 11:01 by The Kennel
Local singer/songwriter Elizabeth Seward will be in tomorrow with her project, Spelling and Grammar. John Northcraft will engineer, with Billy Szeflinski assisting.
Soul singer Jenny Arrigo will record basic tracks for her debut EP this weekend. Billy will engineer and play drums, Aisha Cohen from The Sharp Things will play bass, and Kennel co-owner Jim Santo will play guitar and produce.
New York City-based rock trio Panther Tighter will be in next month with Mark Kovacik at the board and James Pertusi assisting.
Also on the schedule is the legendary Squirrels From Hell, who will be recording an EP with Billy engineering and Jim producing.
And — we’d be remiss if we failed to mention that Ken Weaver, vocalist for NYC metal band Growler, was in this month, recording vocal tracks with Wharton Tiers. We hope to see Ken again soon.
Oh, and also, happy to report that Third Border have completed work on their LP. Mastering is in progress and we hope to have some tracks to share with you real soon.

“I always expect making a record in a real studio to be a nerve-wracking experience, but Jamie and Jim at the Kennel made me feel right at home, indulging my perfectionist tendencies and caring as much as I did about making my band’s record sound good. Their enthusiasm for their work was obvious. I really looked forward to going to the studio each day, and I’m extremely happy with the results. I’d recommend the Kennel to anyone.“
