Here’s who’s been rocking the house the past few months:
Imaginary Monster were in for a day of tracking for a new album. Here’s a Facebook photo album of the event … Jazz/reggae drummer Peter Barr continued work on his latest…Love Camp 7 spent a pleasant evening recording percussion for their next LP … Guitarist Pheroze Karai was in for two days, laying down basics for his new project with Clay Holley (Adele, Lee Fields, The Sharp Things) engineering … Producer/mixer Alex Newport (The Mars Volta, Death Cab For Cutie) recorded tracks for the debut EP by Primitive Weapons … Ill Prezidente recorded two songs on our Otari 2” tape machine for an upcoming 7” single release … and Kennel “house bands” The Sharp Things, The Cool and Deadly and The Ditty Committee kept the cool sounds flowing in the off hours.

“The Kennel has a nice big recording room, and we were able to get great sounds whether it was a solo vocals and guitar song or a full rocking band. Best of all are the people who work there: no snarky, frustrated musician types wishing they were doing something else, just talented engineers and mixers who are down to earth, have a good sense of humor, and have great ears.“
