One in the can
Posted 18 August 2008, 14:02 by The Kennel
A milestone reached last night as Third Border finished mixing their as-yet-unnamed second album— the first album completed at The Kennel since we opened for business in May.
All involved proclaimed deep satisfaction with the result.
Third Border’s debut LP, Sun of Water, Sea of Light (co-produced by Missiion of Burma’s Roger Miller, brother of 3rd B guitarist Ben), was chosen as one of 48 candidates for possible Grammy nomination in the 2006 “Alternative Album of the year” category.
We can only hope the new one (produced by NYC rock legend and Kennel regular Whartion Tiers) does as well.
The band is not quite ready to share their latest with the world, but watch this space for some free MP3s in the near future.

Recording at the Kennel was like hanging out in your living room with your cool cousins. The vibe is cozy, comfortable, and relaxed, both in and out of the room. There’s a great range of equipment, funky lamps for setting the mood, and great views of the open sky above Brooklyn. Jim and James are welcoming, professional, and funny. We’ll be back for sure.
