  1. Happy New Year!

Posted 11 January 2010, 05:21 by The Kennel

As we approach our second anniversary, in May, there’s much cause for optimism here at The Kennel. Here are a few of the things that are making us happy:

Completed projects — and released product — by The Netherlands, FOX Japan, Lady Magma, Destroy Babylon and more. Click those links to hear our work.

Upgrade to Pro Tools HD and PT8. Not only can we now offer 24 I/Os and unlimited voices, but also the improvement in sound quality is remarkable!

Wireless Internet access is just a few days away, so feel free to bring your laptops to your session.

After a major configuration, our control room is more spacious and comfortable than ever. Stretch your legs and enjoy the view!

Rabid In The Kennel, our monthly Internet radio show with Jack Rabid, hosted an amazing lineup of guests in 2009, including Lou Barlow, Sloan and The Posies — and by spring we’ll have our own weekly show. This gives us a chance to showcase our favorite clients and other worthy acts from the local area and beyond.

Not to mention, we have some really cool projects coming up for 2010, which you will learn about in due time. Stay tuned.

  2. “The Kennel is a perfect spot for capturing the excitement and immediacy of a live sound. With lots of analog gear the vibe in this sweet Bushwick room is full of texture and warmth — both sonically and personally. Billy, the engineer and also a great producer, is really sensitive to listening for that magic moment and focusing everyone in the room towards it. You’ll leave happy!
